Magnetic Contactor For Taipei 101 New Year's Eve Fireworks

101 is a building ranked officially as the world's tallest from 2004 until the opening of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai in 2010. In 2010, Taipei 101 cooperated with Shihlin Electric for Taipei 101's power distribution system in order to perform great fireworks. Over the past six years, Taipei 101 has been dazzling people with spectacular fireworks. When the audience starts to count down, every timer to set off the fireworks is precisely controlled by a magnetic contactor at each floor. Magnetic Contactor is used for controlling overloaded appliances and also makes connections - when supplying the coil with the appropriate voltage and the contactor or relay is closed (Turned On). If a magnetic contactor gets jammed and overloads the circuit, the overload coil will automatically cut off the current, thereby de-energizing the coil and thus opening the contacts. Most Emergency or Limit Switches are N.C., and would be wired in a series, usually on the overload side of the control circuit. Magnetic contactors allow high frequency power to go on and off up to more than one thousand times an hour and still wouldn't be a concern. Magnetic Contactor (S-P11) is a non-reversing/reversing product containing open type, enclosure type and enclosure with a push button. It's rated capacity is 220~240V→kw/HP/A:3/4/12 and 380~440V→kw/HP/A:4/5.5/9, with non-reversing (1a) and reversing (2*1b). MS(S-P11)'s additional accessories are mechanical Interlocks, surge absorbers, and auxiliaries.
